Caite shares her home with a senior white German Shepherd named Sasha. She also takes a pup named Kita on adventures around the peninsula during the week. Kita belongs to a local firefighter who rescued her in rough shape in the Dominican Republic and nursed her back to health.

Caite grew up working at a horse rescue called Walking in Circles in the mountains of New Mexico. Her work with dogs started with pet sitting in middle school. She joined the POMDR clinic staff in August 2020 as a Kennel Attendant and was promoted to Veterinary Assistant in January 2021.

Prior to joining POMDR, Caite worked in retail, doing home and apparel management for Anthropologie and social media for outdoor gear retailer REI. She also worked locally at a small organic juice bar.

She graduated from CSUMB in the fall of 2019 with a degree in Communications concentrating in Film and Literary Studies.
