Dr. Erin Trannel

She came to POMDR in July 2023. While in veterinary school at Iowa State University, she was an active member in the Shelter Medicine Club and helped facilitate low-income vaccine clinics in Des Moines. She also volunteered for the Josh & Friends Project, benefiting children in hospitals and utilizing the human-animal bond to encourage sick adolescents during their treatments. She has volunteered at shelters and free vaccine clinics across the country and helped facilitate a spay/neuter and preventive care clinic for animals in South Dakota.
Before coming to POMDR, Dr Erin worked as a small animal general practitioner in Ankeny, Iowa.
She completed her Bachelors degree in Biology and attained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University.
