Named after the beloved grumpy-but-sweet gentleman from the movie Up, our Carl is a much smaller and considerably fluffier version, but he shares one very important quality with his namesake: he's a wonderful old soul with a whole lot of heart. He also prefers to relax at home, but he also loves his friends and family and does have a playful streak at times.

Carl is a sweet, gentle, and genuinely nice little guy who seems to appreciate the simple things in life. He's easygoing and affectionate, with the kind of calm presence that makes you want to scoop him up and take him home. Carl isn't looking for a life filled with wild adventures these days. His idea of a perfect day is likely something a little more relaxed -- some gentle exploring, plenty of cozy time with his people, and knowing he has a soft place to land at the end of the day. This little gentleman has so much love left to give, and we'd love to see him spend his golden years surrounded by people who appreciate what makes senior dogs so special.

Carl loves other dogs, including big ones! He also likes people too. He hasn't met many children, but being gentle and calm, he would likely do fine with them. There's a little bit of independence in this guy, so he's happy to be nearby without snuggling, but he also loves being in your lap or arms. Wherever you need him, he's there! His signature look is his messy bedhead, and he loves snoozing so much, you may have to wake him up for breakfast!

Carl isn't looking for much. Just a warm spot in the sun nearby or a lap to cuddle on.
