Gorgeous Gabby may be enjoying her golden years, but this sweet senior Schnoodle still has plenty of pep in her step! She loves her daily walks, basking in the sunshine, and staying close to her people for gentle pets and affection. With her moderate energy level, Gabby is the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a leisurely stroll followed by a cozy cuddle session on the couch.
Gabby is as easygoing as they come. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, making her a great fit for many types of homes. She isn't demanding or overbearing - just a calm, loving presence with soulful eyes that have a way of capturing everyone's heart. Gabby is also delightfully quiet, usually only offering a bark or two every few days when she's hoping for a little extra attention.
One of Gabby's many wonderful qualities is that she is fully housetrained, according to her foster. In fact, she arrived without even a single accident, which is a rare and impressive testament to what a good girl she is.
Since arriving, Gabby has been receiving the medical care she needs to help her feel her best. She is currently being treated for Cushing's disease and is working toward losing approximately 9 pounds. Her weight loss journey will take time, even with reduced calories, and may require several months of patience and consistency. Reaching a healthier weight is an important step before she can safely undergo a dental cleaning and have a couple of lipomas removed.
Gabby is also an enthusiastic eater and has a habit of consuming things she shouldn't. Her future family will need to provide a safe environment by keeping potentially harmful items out of reach, including products such as snail or rat bait.
Gabby is a special senior girl who deserves a home where her health needs are understood and where she can spend her days feeling safe, loved, and cherished. If you believe life's sweetest companions only get better with age, Gabby is ready to show you just how wonderful a senior dog can be.
Gabby joined the POMDR pack after her loving guardian was no longer able to care for her.
