Meet Barnacle, a gentle and loving lad with a heart as big as the ocean. This handsome boy may be blind, but he doesn't let that stop him from enjoying life and soaking up affection from the people around him. Barnacle is a truly nice boy who thrives on kindness, patience, and companionship.

His blindness means he'll need a little extra guidance at first, things like keeping furniture in consistent places, using verbal cues, and helping him learn new spaces, but in return you'll gain an incredibly loyal companion. He enjoys calm environments, soft pets, and gentle walks where he can explore the world through his nose and ears. Barnacle gets along great with other dogs as well as kitties but due to his vision limitations, a home with no stairs (inside at least) would be best. While he can navigate going up stairs surprisingly well, going down is a different story and we don't want to risk him doing so unsupervised.

Barnacle joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was found as a stray.
