If ever there were Toaster Strudel that was really good for you, it would be this one! Golden brown to perfection and no need to drizzle on additional icing, because he is already as sweet as they come. Strudel completely adores his human companions. He will follow you around and admire everything you do -- washing dishes, weeding the yard, working on the computer -- he will be there to let you know that you are doing a very fine job. With his adorable, expressive face, he will respond to every word you say and mostly agree with you. Strudel would love a home where he could spend all day snuggling and cuddling with his humans, but he also likes to be out and about, exploring the yard, hiking in the woods, or going for a ride in the car.

He is polite with all people and most dogs that he meets, though sometimes he can be initially a tad reserved. We have not yet observed him around children, but we are pretty sure that he would enjoy the company of older, respectful kids. At his foster home, he is learning how to coexist with the cat, but if the cat runs, then the chase is definitely on. Thus, he is looking for either a cat-free home or one with a dog-savvy cat. Being home alone is not his favorite way to spend time, but he accepts it.

This spry and healthy Chihuahua joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services, where he was brought after being found as a stray. Due to the high volume of intakes the shelter was experiencing and his senior status, they thought he would be best suited to land with a rescue organization to help find his forever people.
