Sweetheart Nico is a lovely little guy who is most happy when he gets to spend time around people. He is loyal and attentive, and his goofy ears say it all -- he is a character all around! This spry and active lad is ready to join you on any adventure. He walks well on leash, behaves nicely on car rides, and is friendly with all people, dogs, and cats that he meets. If you are looking for a speed-walking or trail-hiking buddy with lots of stamina, look no further!! After a day with lots of fun activity, he enjoys cuddling on the couch and burying himself under a blanket for a solid nap. At his foster home, he sleeps well through the night and has been top-notch about alerting his humans when he needs to step outside.

Nico's former guardians surrendered him to the shelter because they were concerned that he might have medical issues starting up which they were not able to take on. The vet team at the POMDR Clinic found him to be a healthy boy all around, besides some hearing loss and some dental inflammation that he is receiving care for. Being dropped off at the shelter came as a big shock to sweet Nico, but this gentle soul knows that his best years are yet to come and that a loving family will swoop him up, making sure that his golden years are extra special.

Nico came to POMDR from Santa Cruz County Animal Services after his former guardians surrendered him there.
