Sweet sweet Rover has been through a lot over the last couple months. In September, he landed at a local shelter, where it was surmised he had been hit by a car. Rover was unable to stand or use his legs. Fortunately nothing was broken! Fast forward to today, Rover is a bouncing, running, highly spirited buddy. He is living in a foster home and making leaps and bounds in progress. Quite literally! The only remaining sign of his accident is a stiff back leg at times, but he is never one to miss a walk and loves the beach!
Rover is a youthful 7-year-old, comes with all the adult training he needs, and is great with children. (He was a huge hit on Halloween, welcoming all the kids and handing out treats.) He makes the best four-legged friend, and will stick by your side whether it's for a stroll around the neighborhood or a snuggly night in. He will keep you entertained with his happy-go-lucky nature, smiles, and morning zoomies around the kitchen while he waits for breakfast. He is also a tennis ball fanatic. Rover will need an adopter willing to continue to work on his mobility with him, including regular exercise (tennis ball tossing) and rest when needed. This darling boy adores people and love. He is a true gentleman who likes to gaze lovingly at his people with those big, soulful eyes.
Rover joined Peace of Mind after he was brought into Hitchcock Road Animal Services. We can't wait to see the progress he makes in his forever home!
