Since Brenda joined POMDR, she learned that life can be so much better than what she has experienced before. This super sweet and mellow Lady is soaking up new experiences like a sponge and is grateful to go on walks, explore the backyard, receive loving attention, and sleep in a cozy bed. She might be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but with a bit of patience she quickly feels comfortable, and once she accepts you into her inner circle, she adores spending time with you! This delightful little hippo gets along well with other dogs and, with her calm demeanor, she would likely enjoy the company of gentle children. We have not seen her interact with cats, yet. At her foster home, she sports a cute prancing run when she gets excited and loves to dole out the wettest and sloppiest kisses one can imagine.
Brenda enjoys going on at least one brisk walk each day and she is currently learning all about "leash etiquette" as she likely never walked on a leash before. When home alone, she whines for a bit at first but eventually settles down. If it was up to her, she would much rather tag along with you, hop into the car, and peacefully enjoy the drive. This big cuddlebug is sweet as can be and dreams of a home where she will be showered with love everyday for the rest of her life. Brenda recently had mammary masses removed at our vet clinic and will need long-term follow-up visits with an oncologist to monitor her mammary development.
Brenda joined us from the Sacramento County Bradshaw Shelter. She was brought into the shelter with 15 other dogs. We don't know much of her back story, but we are sure this sweet gal will find herself that special home to call her own.
