This little darling must have taken a few dips in the fountain of youth! Sweet, spunky, and energetic Zackie loves to go on several brisk walks a day. He is a very friendly and gregarious guy who adores meeting new people. His exuberant tail wags and body wiggles are simply the best! He will roll right over for some belly rubs and blissfully lean in for chin and ear scratches. At home, he may follow you around when he thinks you might be up to something interesting, but he is also content to be on watch from a comfy bed. Whenever the opportunity arises, he will cozy up on the couch and rest his adorable little head on your lap, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. On car rides, he likes looking out the window or simply going to sleep.
Sweet Zackie enjoys the company of polite children, but we don't yet know how he interacts with kitties. On walks he has not expressed an interest in other dogs and may bark to communicate that he would like to keep a distance. Though he is generally very quiet, he may let you know with a couple of yips that you should not be leaving without him. Then he will scamper off and settle in for a snooze. At his foster home, he is catching up on some weight gain, appreciating all those regular meals and soft treats. His silly little tongue often pokes out because he has no teeth. Otherwise, he is in good health and ready for his next adventure.
Zackie's guardian had to move into a facility that doesn't accept dogs and was heartbroken to not be able to bring him along.
