Zephyr is a special senior who needs a soft landing with a caring, patient adopter. Zephyr was recently surrendered back to POMDR when his senior guardian could no longer care for him. He had been with her for three years. The transition has been a little tough on him and we are giving him some time to decompress and show his true personality.

What we do know so far is he enjoys a good walkabout and sniff in the yard, then settles down well in a cozy bed where he may nap or take in the world around him. He isn't ready for a lot of cuddle time or petting. Zephyr lives with 4 other dogs in his foster home and gets along well. We are looking for a special home that can provide him with a soft place to land.

This sweet senior gentleman originally joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services as a medical intake. He arrived at the shelter not bearing any weight on his right hind leg. Thankfully, this has since resolved although he does still have a slight limp.
