Mirabella is an absolutely wonderful dog. She has a calm demeanor and is great meeting new people. She will quickly roll over for belly rubs even with strangers! Mirabella loves to go for walks, but she's also a real homebody. She hurries home from her early morning walks to claim the couch, where she's content to nap for most of the day and receive lots of pets and affection. She's more motivated by praise than by treats, and she is eager to please.

She'll chase a ball or Frisbee outside in the yard, but she'll let you know when she's done by taking it back to the couch with her! She'd really rather cuddle than play. Mirabella will need a strong handler, as she is still being leash trained and she does pull, but she is learning quickly. Mirabella will need a cat-free household, but otherwise she would be a great fit for most families. Her temporary foster describes her as "the most gentle and kind dog I've met."

This sweet girl was a beloved family dog. She came to us from San Jose Animal Care and Services, where she was surrendered because her guardians moved and were no longer allowed to have her at their new place of residence.
