Sir Charles, or Chuckles, is a wiggly, chubby guy who will happily trot around trying to contain his excitement for food and attention. That is, once he is acclimated and settled into a new place and comfortable with his people. Transitions are difficult for him and his new person will need to be patient and understanding.
Chuckles adores having his tummy rubbed. He is good with other dogs and doesn't mind cats but will occasional bark at new ones. He is good in the home and in a crate. He loves to go on walks! He needs a home with no children.
Chuckles listens well to commands and is good on leash. Outside of his walks, he is a mellow guy. He likes to chew on toys, especially the squeaky ones. He is vocal if his person leaves for a while and then comes back. He is also vocal when getting ready for his walk. He does fine in the car. He is always by his person's side and is very affectionate. If looking for a good boy who listens, gives a lot of love, and is relatively low maintenance, then this is your dog. His ideal home is a quiet one, as he scares easily. One with lots of walks and relatively low encounters with other dogs. He is slow to trust in new people, but once he does, he is the best dog.
He came to us from South County Animal Rescue.
