Otie is a sweet little boy who is gaining confidence daily. He was found as a stray very unsocialized puppy. He spent the majority of his life at a sanctuary where he lived in a kennel during the day and went on daily walks.

Now he is learning to enjoy the wonders of living in a home. He is good with cats, kids and other dogs. At his foster home, he enjoys playing with other dogs. He loves going on walks and walks very well on leash. He also does well on car rides. Once he knows you, he enjoys affection, cuddling, and following you around, though he is still wary of being approached in some situations.

A person interested in introducing the world to him, slowly and positively, will have a fun companion. Thanks to his sweetness, he has a lot of potential.

An ideal home for him is one with another dog that is confident and can serve as a role model. This little boy is a flight risk and should remain on leash when out. He'll need a home with secure doors and a secure yard.

Otie needs a new home because his previous people are ill and can no longer care for a dog.
