Anya was brought into the shelter by a good Samaritan who found her in a ditch on the side of the road. It appeared that this sweet dog was dumped. She was lethargic and had a very large wound/injury on her neck and her gums were pale and tacky. Anya's body temperature was 10 degrees below average.
Anya is the sweetest little soul and is an angel. The wounds were found to be bites that had become seriously infected. She continues to get healthier and is really showing a fun, unique personality.
Anya is a good dog, likes to meet other dogs and loves to be the alpha. She barks randomly while looking outside to try and describe what she sees. But not outside at other dogs or anyone passing by. She likes to play with toys and entertain herself. She is young at heart.
Thank you to Monterey County Animal Services for the care they gave Anya, saving her life, and bring her to our attention to help keep her comfortable. We hope to find her a loving forever home that will enjoy her sweet company.
