Harold! This pup is definitely Peace of Mind Dog Royalty, having the distinction of being the longest-serving foster dog in our pantheon of pup-dom. Harold's been in foster care for almost 4 years now, and there's just NO REASON for that, according to his foster mom. She absolutely LOVES Harold, and says he's a super adoptable dog. He just hasn't had enough publicity! We're hoping to change that, and fast.

Harold is a very people-oriented pup. He is a smart guy who is great at following his person around. He loves to be picked up and held. He is much more active than his age would indicate, and he could fit into any environment where he would get personal attention and moderate activity. Harold is happy lounging by your feet or cruising around the block with you. He currently shares a home with another dog, and loves having the company. He's a proven gentleman with adults (loves men!) and older children, and likely will be fine with all gentle kids. A home with no cats would be best, as Harold isn't a fan.

Our darling Harold has a medium energy level and is not a barker. He would be great in an apartment setting, or in a home with a fenced yard. Harold adores snuggles and thrives on any and all attention, but he doesn't mind being left at home - that's naptime! He's wonderfully polite on walks and LOVES going places with you in the car, especially to special destinations, like the beach! We think Harold deserves to find his loving forever home ASAP, and we believe you will be VERY glad you opened your home and your heart to this adaptable/adoptable sweetie.

Harold has a heart murmur that will need to be monitored for the rest of his life, but it currently doesn't slow him down one bit. He came to us from the SPCA for Monterey County after being picked up as a stray by one of our volunteers.
