Paquito is a 14-year-old, 20 pound Bichon Frise/Poodle mix. He responds well to new dogs, sniffing politely and then moving on his way. He's also incredibly friendly with new people and is mellow by nature. Because of his easy-going demeanor, he may be a good dog for a family that has gentle children.
Paquito was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but he is wonderfully cooperative for his twice-daily insulin injections. He is mostly blind and deaf, and moves around at a slow and steady pace. He really enjoys snoozing much of the day away in a nice warm sun spot. He has been living in a home with a cat and done great with her. At night he likes to sleep with his person, but can also sleep on his doggie bed. He is able to be left home alone but does have some separation anxiety and would love to live with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him.
Paquito was originally brought to POMDR as he was sadly abandoned at someone's place of work. A good samaritan rescued him and surrendered him to us so he can find the loving forever family he deserves.
