Milo is so handsome! He lived a somewhat sheltered life so can be a little aloof at first meeting. Once he is comfortable with you he is a gentle and sweet boy and will enjoy receiving attention. He is not a barker, even when other dogs are alert barking. He may need nervous in a new home, but once acclimated, he is a mellow, relaxed companion. He will play with other dogs but has not had many opportunities to socialize.
He has lived with two different dogs in his life and done great, but he does need to be fed separately because he will push other dogs off their food. He can be directed easily on leash but is strong and can pull, so he could benefit from further guidance on walks. Because he can sometimes be nervous with new people and situations and has nipped, he should go to a home without children. He is curious about cats in passing, although he has never properly met one.
Milo is in congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He is on several different heart medications to manage his condition.
Milo's senior person has moved into a smaller home to be taken care of by her daughter and can no longer physically care for him. Milo lived his entire life as an outdoor only dog. In his foster home, he has come to enjoy the comforts of being an indoor dog. He enjoys his time outdoors as well.
