Ahoy there! Captain is on the lookout for his forever home. A mellow guy, Captain enjoys being around his person, but is not clingy. While he is polite with other dogs, he doesn't have much interest in playing with them. Captain loves to explore the world around him, walking well on a leash and sniffing everything he can. Captain does have a vision impairment, but doesn't let that stop him, which means he will need a few extra precautions taken around the house, such as a baby gate or a pen, so he can wander with some level of freedom. He is a small, polite little gentleman who would be perfect for someone interested in having a dog they can take with them everywhere. He just wants to bond with people.

Captain came to POMDR from Salinas Animal Services where he won the hearts of the shelter staff and spent his time keeping them company in the front office. Are you ready to become Captain's first mate?
